Tasmania: Fiery Lichen

Bay of Fires! When you drive from one small town to another, you don’t get reception in Tasmania. At least, that was what our phone services indicated. That means when you’re driving from Mount Cradle to Frecinet National Park, you get your GPS set halfway only to lose reception. Still all good, we reached Bay of Fires, managed to ask for directions at a local restaurant where a German bartender gave us a hand drawn map, but didn’t have any time to properly check out the whole area or hike to Wineglass Bay, which was a tough call to make. We were going to drive another 3-4 hours back to Hobart for the weekend market. Instead we settled for a short hike to a waterfall on the way back.
