Last month I got a wonderful opportunity to tag along as a second shooter for a pre-wedding shoot with Angelina. Waking up at 6.30a to catch the first bus / train to the city, the motivation was the excitement pumping from having never done something like this before. I’m not a seasoned expert, but wedding photography is ever so different than your typical photoshoot – it’s following and talking to a couple, sharing jokes, or laugh while they share their jokes, strolling through the park on a sunny day while photographing them. It was a split second moment during one of the locations, the dome, that I remember thinking that weddings are a truly beautiful thing. I have never felt that way before but watching two people being so absorbed with each other and you being able to capture away clicking at that split second. It’s quite something. I don’t know how to explain it! At least now I know why wedding photographers love their jobs.
